Glarokavos is the unofficial name for the beach front around the local marine sanctuary and surrounding lagoon. It derives its name from the local beach bar, which is very busy during high season. The beach is sandy, wide and long, and has free open areas for families seeking tranquility. In addition to sunbathing and swimming, it offers many snorkeling sites.

Chrousso Bay, or ”Ksenias” as it is also know, is a magnificent bay with many beach-bars and free open areas. The bay has turquoise waters, and a fine golden sand beach, surrounded by a lush pine forest. The waters are shallow, thus a good choice for families with children. Also, the area hosts Greek Tourism Organization’s (EOT), lovely camping site.
